No, but someone I know has.

Positives:
* Cleaner than most other forms of electricity generation.
* I think they look lovely.
* The land around them can still be used for farming.

Negatives:
* A huge area of land is needed to produce more than a negligible amount of electricity.
* Unreliable – the wind will not always blow, will not always blow the right way, etc.
* It generates electricity that is decoupled from demand – the wind does not stop blowing when industrial activity stops for the night, for example. Storage methods for power generated in excess of demand are limited by the technology available.

* The construction of wind farms can destroy or severely damage local ecosystems, such as forests.
* Some see them as an eyesore.
* The amount of energy generated by a single domestic turbine is pitiful.
* The manufacture of parts, and shipping of the parts, for turbines consumes some resources.
* NIMBYism – no one seems to want a big wind turbine in their area, but they all want the benefits.
